Rubberhead Parking LotShuswap Cycling Club Rubberhead Enduro - June 11, 2023 Rubberhead Enduro 2023 is a wrap! Thanks to all the riders that made the journey to our beloved Rubberhead Trail Network and shared the day with us! The riders laid it out there on the initial 12km / 800m climb, meandering through the forests of Double D, Very Bad Wizard, and Ida View, finishing with a short descent down Half Baked to the start of the first segment. Stage 1 was a 2.4km descent covering 433m of elevation down the flowy tech of Muffin Top and chunky turns of Veggie Delight. A short climb brought riders to Stage 2, the most technical stage, Very Bad Wizard and the Old School Rubberhead Downhill. The 1.5km track was steep, tight and tbh a little closed in in some spots. Old school! The final climb was another grueling 6km/500m climb which included the original Rubberhead traverse. Stage 3 started at the 7km entrance to Ravine - a flat out flowy rip down the locals favourite to the finish. Total Long Course stats - 29km / 1400m. Nice! Riders were [...]

Here are the results: Results - Shuswap Cycling Club Rubberhead Enduro | Zone4.ca See you at the next one! _______________________________________________________________ What: This is a three stage enduro race at the Rubberhead Trails near Salmon Arm. Results will be based on the lowest combined time on three descent-oriented stages. Mass start (all racers at once) Enduro stages - individual starts at 30 second intervals or as directed by the starter When: June 26, 2022 at Rubberhead Recreation Site, Canoe BC Race Start time 12:00pm Where: Rubberhead Recreation Site 2.5 km Parking Area From Salmon Arm head east on Hwy 1 past the Canoe Forest Products mill and turn right on the 110 FSR. USE CAUTION exiting Hwy 1 to turn right on the 110 FSR. Watch for industrial traffic on the 110 FSR. This turn comes up very quickly. USE CAUTION entering Hwy 1 after the event. Rubberhead volunteer trail night
Rubberhead Parking LotRubberhead volunteer trail nights are starting again on Monday, April 4th and will run every Monday evening for the spring and into the summer, with a few exceptions. If you'd like to be added to the mailing list for volunteers and receive updates about each event, please let us know at [email protected]. Sign up here for the April 4th trail night and meet at the Rubberhead parking lot at 6 p.m. We'll be working until dark.

Rubberhead Parking LotThe Shuswap Cycling Club is hosting Sweet Skills this July for a ladies skills camp at Rubberhead. Register soon as it will fill up quickly! See below for the details from Sweet Skills. Cornering, drops and flow - get it all in the Salmon Arm 1 day clinic July 2020! The Rubberhead trails offer tons of fun corners, lots of opportunity for speed and flow, and some great drops to learn and progress on. To start the day we’ll talk about bike set up then tune in our body position to be able to ‘attack’ the trail, and practicing some key drills before heading up the hill. We’ll shuttle our way up so we can save on all that climbing and focus on our DH skills! Pump, carve and drop – you’ll be dialed with those skills by the end of the day and stoked with your riding! FRI July 17 10am-3pm $150 + gst BOOK NOW * All participants must be members of the Shuswap Cycling Club *volunteer shuttlers needed!

Rubberhead Parking LotThe Shuswap Cycling Club in association with Skookum Cycle and Ski is hosting trail days on the Rubberhead trail system. These will run Saturday mornings from 8-10am every 2 weeks starting August 10th. Meet: 110 FSR - 2.5 km Parking lot Time: 8am - 10am Bring outdoor work clothes, gloves, shoes/boots and water. Plus pruning loppers, if you have them. But we'll have tools, plus training and safety instruction. All ages welcome! For more information please call 250-832-0102

Alvin’s Greatest Hits Grand Opening

As a kick off to the Salty Dog Weekend, on Friday May 10th, Skookum Cycle and the Shuswap Cycling Club will be hosting the grand opening of the newest Rubberhead trail, Alvin's Greatest Hits, a blue rated jump trail at the bottom of Alvin Comes Alive. There will be a $10 BBQ hosted by Skookum Cycle and group rides of the Rubberhead network. Meet at 5:30 pm at Skookum or at 6:15 at the Rubberhead parking lot. Rubberhead Trail Night – Cancelled Due to Long Weekend
Rubberhead Parking LotAugust 6th Trail Night Cancelled Due to Long Weekend. -------------------------- The Shuswap Cycling Club in association with Skookum Cycle and Ski will be hosting trail nights on the Rubberhead trail system. These will run every other Monday starting April 16th. We will be meeting at the 2.5km parking lot on the 110 FSR at 6pm. We will be focusing on opening the trails for the spring. Hand pruning and raking trails as well as tread repairs as needed. Some tools will be provided, but please bring any tools you have. Only people who have Basic Chainsaw Operators Training will be able to operate a chainsaw during these nights.
