Hey members!

We’re glad to bring you another monthly newsletter. We’re keeping it short this month since we’re pretty busy with last-minute preparations for the Salty Dog and Street Fest happening this weekend. If you have some spare time on your hands and want to get involved, read on to see how you can help.

Thanks for reading and see you this weekend!

Volunteer at the Salty Dog and/or Bike Swap!

Excited for the Salty Dog yet? Even if you’re not racing, there are many ways you can take part in this awesome event.

The Salty Dog Enduro & Street Festival is looking for another 6-10 volunteers for race day on Sunday. If you’re available for the whole day or even part of the day and want to be right in the middle of the action, please email [email protected].

The Shuswap Cycling Club is also looking for a few more people to help with our bike swap and BBQ on Saturday. If your spouse can’t listen to another word about bikes, we’re offering you an outlet. 😉 Please email [email protected] if you can help.

Thanks everyone, we really appreciate your help!

Facebook group for members

Earlier this year, we created a members-only Facebook group to keep the conversation going about biking in the Shuswap. You can use it to plan your own group rides and find new riding partners, ask for advice about bikes and gear, share your experiences or just get stoked about riding. The group is still young, but we’re hoping it’ll grow into a valuable source of information with your help!

Update on trail conditions

Trails are gradually drying up and opening for biking! As you’re out exploring, please remember to post trail reports on Trailforks to keep fellow users in the loop.

South Canoe: All trails are ready to go! Get out there and have fun.

Rubberhead: We’re missing some intel about Rubberhead! If you’ve been riding there, please let us know how the trails are running by posting reports to Trailforks. You can also email us if you would like to be part of the Monday Rubberhead Voly crew.
