Ride Don’t Hide 2017
Field of Dreams - Little Mountain Sports Complex 250 30th St SE, Salmon Arm, BC, CanadaRide Don't Hide 2017 Ride Don’t Hide is a community bike ride that is happening on June 25th 2017 in 35 city across Canada from BC to Newfoundland to raise awareness and funds for mental health. All funds raised goes back into local programs and initiatives. CMHA is a charity organization and it is their 5th year doing Ride Don’t Hide in Salmon Arm. Each year we grow a little and we are continue to reach out to community organizations to join our movement to: raise awareness and funds for mental health. I have attached a few posters and our Facebook page. In our effort to make the day a success we would really appreciate if you can send this event out to all your Larch Hills folks. It would be fabulous if Larch Hills were interested in putting a team together; we have a 10, 32 or 54km route to choose from. Salmon Arm Bike for Your Life Century
An Invitation to Shuswap Cycling Club members: We all love cycling in the Shuswap! You are invited to join in the fun of the Saturday, Sept. 16 Salmon Arm Bike for Your Life Century Ride – Salmon Arm’s Community Bike Ride since 1998. Choose one of four local scenic routes: 10K, 35K, 75K or 100K. Each route will be well marked with Aid Stations, Mobile First Aid, friendly Volunteers, a Shuswap Lady Striders hosted BBQ Lunch at Blackburn Park, local Musicians and draw prizes. Registration is quick and easy here. $30/Adult, $50/Family, Children under 18 years: $5. Profits from this “all volunteers” fun and affordable event support the Second Harvest Food Bank and the Shuswap Trail Alliance: $24,000 since 2012. Salty Street Festival
Downtown Salmon Arm Salmon ArmSalty Dog racer package pick up, The SCC Bike Swap, and the Salty Street Festival run simultaneously the day before the Salty. For the sixth year in a row, the Salty Street Festival continues to grow. We have a full contingent of bike industry leaders at the Street Festival, which allows us to put on a bike industry mini trade show with Shimano gear, Smith products, Giro and Bell helmets, bikes and products by Kona, Norco, Giant, and Rocky Mountain. Local ski resorts Sun Peaks and Silver Star Mountain, Shuswap Tourism, Shuswap Trail Alliance and Shuswap Bike Club all set up booths in the Street Fest. By and sell bikes and bike equipment to help support the club and cycling in the Shuswap. Drop off your bike(s) you'd like to sell from 9:30 - 11 AM. Shop from 11 - 2:00PM. Cashout from 2:00-2:30PM. The Moment – Movie Night with SCC
Salmar Classic 360 Alexander Street, Salmon Arm, BC, CanadaJoin members of Shuswap Cycling Club and riders in town for the BC High School Mountain Bike Championships for a screening of The Moment, a Darcy Turenne film about the the early days of free riding in BC with the biggest legends in mountain biking. We will have some great draw prizes, and plenty of bevies for you so sit back and enjoy. Cost is $15 or $10 for U17 - Available now at Skookum!
Ride Don’t Hide 2018
It’s not just another year for ride don't hide; 2018 is CMHA’s 100 anniversary as a national charity across Canada! A big one for us and we are hoping to continue to build community awareness around mental health. In order to do this we need to keep growing the ride and fundraising as all the money we raise stays local. Funds raised from the 2018 ride will continue to promote the mental health of everyone in our community. This means funding programs like Living Life to the Full and our new Wellness Centre for youth based out of Salmon Arm Secondary School. We want our youth to have access to health services including mental health so this generation of young people and generations to come can thrive in our community. Bike for your Life Century Ride
Blackburn Park 681 10 Avenue Southwest, Salmon Arm, BC, CanadaJoin in the fun of a community bike ride on the scenic back roads of the Shuswap – North Okanagan on Saturday, September 15th, 2018 at 9 a.m. Challenge yourself, ride with family & friends , enjoy the view. Four routes highlight the scenic beauty of the Shuswap – North Okanagan. The Cyclists Celebration (live music, draw prizes) is casual, down to earth Shuswap hospitality. The four bike routes are designed to be safe and fun. Whether you have never ridden a bike before, or you are an endurance cyclist join in. Everyone is welcome! This is not a racing event. The emphasis is on participation, rather than time, to make it fun for an individual or family. Enjoy the company of fellow cyclists. Ride with your friends and challenge yourself to ride a route distance you might not consider doing on your own. A limit of 600 cyclists has been set for the 100K, 75K and 35K routes. Return To Earth – Movie Night with the SCC

This year we are proud to present the latest from Anthill Films, Return To Earth. Tickets are $15, available at the door, or available in advance at Skookum Cycles. Or email us and we can get some to you. Doors open at 6:00 PM, Showtime at 6:30 PM.
