The next Shuswap Cycling Club meeting will be held Friday, May 26th, 6:00pm to 8:00pm. This time around we will be meeting at the Askews Uptown, in the Board Room.

An update from Canoe Forest Products (CFP):
The 110 (Rubberhead road access) is open and is very busy with industrial traffic. JPW road maintenance as well as CFP road building crews are working along the entire length of the 110 road. Additionally, the small piles of harvested logs that were placed along the 110 road are also being processed today and Monday. As per our earlier warning, all public users are advised to use the 110 road with caution.

May means the Salty Dog Enduro is nigh, and this means Salty Street Fest!

Expect more the same biking greatness, but this year the team is also expanding the Salty Street Fest to be more of a community celebration. This means more entertainment, art activities, street performers and buskers.

Annual South Canoe Trail Day Sun Apr 30, meet in the South Canoe parking lot 8:45 am to sign up, post work party BBQ & Bevys to follow.
With the long wet spring we are experiencing the SC trails need some love!
Please come and help with the Annual Trail Blitz on the South Canoe Trail System Sunday April 30. Some of the to do jobs on this year’s list: major water repairs on multiple trails, trail brushing, tree clean up, bridge repairs, and tread repair. Bring water, trail snacks, pruning loppers, work gloves, hand tools and a Friend!
Skookum & Save On will be teaming up again this year to provide the South Canoe post trail work Bbq & Bevys.
Parking: if the South Canoe parking is full, out of consideration for the local residents park down below by the tennis courts and not on 10th st or 70th ave. Vehicles on the streets will towed.
Spring has officially arrived and while the trails are FINALLY clear of snow, they are also super muddy in spots. Check out the Trailforks Reports for the latest conditions, and after you shred, fill out your own report and help out others!
The first ride will be Tuesday April 18 at 5:30 at South Canoe.
Make sure your tires are pumped up and your chain is lubed, gears and brakes are great too. As usual we need everyone to sign a waiver form.
