President’s Report – 2015

2015 was a great summer to be a mountain biker in the Shuswap. Our trails were in fine shape due to little rain and the work of many dedicated volunteers and trail maintenance crew from the Trail Alliance. I hope you all agree that it has been great to ride well maintained trails. Thanks to funding from Singletrack Six and revenue from the Annual Shuswap Cycling Society (SCS) bike swap at the Salty Street Fest, Shuswap Cross – Cyclocross Race, map sales, and various fundraising activities the SCS is off to a fine start for 2016.

Results from the Shuswap Cross 2014 Race

Thanks to everyone who came out to ride on Sunday, November 9th.  The new course was a hit and featured some challenging muddy corners, a psychedelic spiral and lots of energy-sucking grass!

The results are here.  Please note that the initial lap times for Race 2 can be misleading due to how the race software handles large numbers of riders crossing the line at once.  Starting at Lap 3, the times for Race 2 are quite accurate.  Race 1 (Elite women, Open Women, Open Men and Junior Open) has accurate times for all laps.
