We are proud to partner with the Shuswap BMX Club! The club started in August 2016 and has been working hard to try to get a  course in Salmon Arm that will support recreational riders and racers from all over the Shuswap. Follow the news on the clubs Facebook page or check for updates on our new BMX page.

Skookum Junior Group Ride Race #3

Tonight was the Team Enduro for the third race of the series.  9 teams of riders went out and battled for bragging rights!  It was amazing to see the incredible effort and all the great cheering at the race.

In the end Girl Power just edged out the boys and took top spot.  All the results are linked below.  Lap times can be seen at this link as well.

Next week is the final race of the series – a cross-country race at Park Hill.  The race is a time-trial format with riders going out at intervals and racing the clock.  Remember that next week is the wind-up BBQ with lots of great food and prizes from Skookum!  Bring a friend as they can still win draw prizes even if they haven’t been in all the races.

See you next week!

2016 Salmon Arm Secondary Enduro MTB Race – Rubberhead

May 5, 2016.  Today was the SAS Enduro MTB race.  A couple of Kamloops racers from Valleyview High School joined our team for the enduro.  The enduro had 2 downhill sections that were timed.  The uphill sections are not timed.  The times were combined for the overall results.  Our SAS riders didn’t disappoint with Seth VanVarseveld posting the overall fastest time.  Valleyview High’s riders showed us they know a thing or two about Enduro racing – both of them posted the fastest times in their categories.

One more race in a couple of weeks at South Canoe and then it’s off to the BC high school provincials in Coquitlam, BC.  SAS riders will be hoping to claim the top spot again for BC.

Race results from today posted below.
