Black Dog TrailheadHey All! Come out for a fun filled day of digging in the dirt!! Scope of work: “Black Dog” climb trail. We have approximately 550m of tread left to build on this 2km section of trail. What to bring: Healthy lunch with snacks and water Sturdy footwear Work gloves if you have them Outdoor clothes and gear including rain jacket Signed waiver Smiles Friends Go-getter attitude! All the tools you need will be provided. Rubberhead Parking Lot**UPDATE: Cancelled Consider helping the crew at South Canoe A sizable crew is needed to fix some drainage issues on the south canoe trails. Skookum is organizing a work party so please consider helping out there instead. Meet at 9am at the lower parking lot. Bring water, trail snacks, pruning loppers, work gloves, hand tools and a Friend! We will park at the Party Pit. The South Canoe parking lot maybe be full during the day with trail users.

Rubberhead Parking LotRubberhead Volunteer Days, June 3rd and 4th. Work on the climb trails. 9:00, meet at the Rubberhead Parking Lot. Work till noon or 1:00. Bring gloves and water. Tools, lunch and beverages supplied. Bring your bike for a shuttle ride at end of the day

Rubberhead Parking LotThe Shuswap Cycling Club in association with Skookum Cycle and Ski will be hosting trail nights on the Rubberhead trail system. These will run every other Monday starting April 16th. We will be meeting at the 2.5km parking lot on the 110 FSR at 6pm. We will be focusing on opening the trails for the spring. Hand pruning and raking trails as well as tread repairs as needed. Some tools will be provided, but please bring any tools you have. Only people who have Basic Chainsaw Operators Training will be able to operate a chainsaw during these nights.

Larch Hills Traverse Voly Day
Voly day on the Larch Hills Traverse. The days maintenance would like be to organized into segments so if you are interested PLEASE sign up by emailing or by calling Glen Piling. Assignments, coordination of tools and transportation details will be given out. It is a long trail and there maybe options to drop at start of a section and pick up at the end of the section. Tools will be supplied, but if you have loppers and hand pruners feel free to bring them. Also bring lots of water and lunch/snack. Appropriate clothing and repellant/sunscreen. South Canoe Trails 10th Ave SE and 70th St SE, Salmon Arm, British Columbia, CanadaCome join the South Canoe Trail Advisory and Skookum Cycle & Ski for this annual South Canoe Spring Voly Blitz to get the trails ready for the Salty Dog on the May 11/12th weekend. BBQ lunch provided by Skookum Cycle & Ski. When: 8:30 to 3:30 Where: South Canoe Parkling Lot Trail Head If you can help, please mark your calendars. Bring outdoor work clothes, gloves, shoes/boots and water. Plus pruning loppers, if you have them. But we'll have tools, plus training and safety instruction. All ages welcome! Help us speed up the morning sign-in by copying, reading, and bringing the annual Shuswap Trail Stewards Waiver form with you. It’s a requirement for our insurance. Signed once, it covers the year.
