- First aid will be provided by Shuswap Volunteer Search and Rescue. Thanks for keeping us safe!
- If you come across an injured rider, ask if they are okay. If you don’t receive a reply, STOP.
- If they need urgent assistance, call 9-1-1 then the emergency contact.
- For non-urgent assistance, call the emergency contact and send the next rider to the aid station.
- You will be offered a re-run if you stop to assist an injured rider.
Water / Food:
- A water station and some food will be available at the start of Stage 1, then moved to the start of Stage 3 layer – courtesy of Blind Bay Village Grocer – Thanks!!
- A BBQ will be cooking starting around 11. Racers and volunteers receive a free meal. Others by donation.
Timing and Race Etiquette:
- Please be respectful of all volunteers and other racers.
- Starters must enter your race plate in their device. If you leave without their ok, you won’t have a time! We are aiming for 30 second intervals but that is at the discretion of the starter – racers can self seed and narrow gaps if they like as long as they communicate with the starter.
- Finishes of the segments will be collected by the chip activators, so there may not be a volunteer present. The finishes will be well marked though.
- Chip timing is accurate and reliable. However it is possible a chip malfunctions. If you have your strava going we can look to use that instead.
- Lost or broken chips = $75 charge
- Place the chips on your fork stanchion or seat post, making sure it is secure and does not interfere with any components.
- Overtaking a rider should be done respectfully in a safe area.
- There will be a few areas where the downhill segment crosses the uphill segment. Please be aware of your surroundings and climbers yield to descenders.
- Ride well and have fun!
