Photo - Jan Thingsted Come and give some TLC to our beloved Rubberhead Trail System. Work will including helping clear existing trails, and clearing a new part of a climb trail. Meet at the main trailhead parking lot at 9am. Bring gloves, good footwear and some hand tools.

South Canoe Trail Blitz

Annual trail blitz on the South Canoe Trail System May 1. Trail brushing, tree clean up, bridge building, tread repair and building all on the to do list this year. Bring water, snacks, lunch, pruning loppers, work gloves hand tools and a friend. If you are interested in being a team leader email Veda @ [email protected]. Skookum & Save On have teamed up again this year to provide the South Canoe post trail work Bbq & Bevys. Parking, if the South Canoe parking is full, out of consideration for the local residents park down below by the tennis courts and not on 10th st or 70th ave. Vehicles on the streets maybe towed.

Whats going on: Jr Salty Pup for run bikes and kids with 12-16″ wheels mini 30min Enduro, for ages 3+, no training wheels please, 1km course, race fees include a T-shirt and fun prize. Salty Pup 1-Hour Enduro, no training wheels please, 1km course, race fees include a T-shirt and fun prize. Jr. 3-Hour Enduro for U15s on a 5km course, teams of 2 only. This is a stepping stone event to the big 6 Hour Enduro for people who are not ready to do the main race. Race fees include a T-shirt. 6 Hour Enduro for everyone else. Cow Trail Classic Race

The Cow Trail Class race is one or two 16Km loops showcasing our best trail system with the fastest and most flowing single track that you can imagine. We’d like to encourage all levels of riders from beginner to elite to race with us this year. Elite racers, this will be the fastest and most fun 32km’s that you’ll race all summer. Beginner Racers, this will be the perfect entry to the world and adventure of mountain bike racing. Why not sign up the whole family? The kids loop will start at 9am and the big race will follow shortly after at about 10am Total elevation gain for one 16KM loop of the race will be 676 Meters, it's one tough climb followed by one long rewarding downhill - it really appeals to all riders. We promise it will become a stop on your future trips through Merritt.

We hope you will once again ride and raise funds for mental health in the Shuswap! This year in cities across Canada we will have over 30 rides taking place on June 26th 2016. Our national goal is to raise over 1.5 million for mental health. As you know, it is a fun and feel good day and your continued support is key to raising awareness and reducing stigma at a local and national level.
