Lake 2 Lake Ride for Rwanda
September 20, 2014 - September 21, 2014
The Lake2Lake is a two-day fully supported bicycle ride stretching over 220km between Kalamalka Lake in Vernon and Eagle Bay on Shuswap Lake (overnighting at Eagle Bay Camp). It has been organized to raise funds for the work of The Wellspring Foundation in raising the quality of education in Rwandan public schools.
Riders can participate without fundraising as an individual (early bird registration is $180 until June 16th) or as part of a team of four ($640 per team). Those who decide to fundraise may be eligible for a free jersey or ride registration. This year, volunteers or riders who fund-raise a minimum of $1200 will be entered into a draw for a trip for two to Rwanda.
Wellspring’s Ignite48 initiative currently impacts over 70,000 children, their teachers, parents and wider communities. It is our pleasure to invite cyclists to join us from near and far as we ride together for this worthy cause.
