DESCRIPTION:Event Details:\n\nStarting this week the Youth Ride will be organizing a series of fun races! First week is a short Hill Climb test\, followed in the next weeks by an XC race\, a team enduro race\, then finally a DH! We will be tracking points for each race with a winner crowned in each category at the end of the series. BBQ lunch provided by Skookum Cycle & Ski. \n\nWhen: 8:30 to 3:30\nWhere: South Canoe Parkling Lot Trail Head\n\nIf you can help\, please mark your calendars. Bring outdoor work clothes\, gloves\, shoes/boots and water. Plus pruning loppers\, if you have them. But we’ll have tools\, plus training and safety instruction. All ages welcome! \nHelp us speed up the morning sign-in by copying\, reading\, and bringing the annual Shuswap Trail Stewards Waiver form with you. It’s a requirement for our insurance. DESCRIPTION:Thursday\, November 8\, 7pm\, the SCC will be having its AGM at Remax Salmon Arm (1111 Lakeshore Dr W.). \nView a tentative agenda here. \nLike other Societies we are required to update our bylaws to bring them in line with the new Societies Act. We will be voting on these bylaws at the upcoming AGM. This requires us to pass the following resolution as special resolution requiring the approval of a majority of not less than two thirds of the votes in person\, of members of the Society\, to alter the bylaws of the Society: \nBE IT RESOLVED\, AS A SPECIAL RESOLUTION of the Society pursuant to Division 4\, Sections 15 and 17 of the Act (British Columbia)\, that the CONSTITUTION AND BYLAWS OF THE SOCIETY be repealed and replaced with the constitution and bylaws as attached DATED July 6\, 2018. \nView a copy of the draft bylaws here. \nWe will also be electing our Director’s positions. There will be 10 positions up for election. If you are interested in putting your name forward or would like to nominate someone\, please let us know. We will also be taking nominations from the floor. \nIn addition to the procedurals\, we will hear updates about all the great things that went down in 2018. Hope to see you there!

DESCRIPTION:Join in the fun of a community bike ride on the scenic back roads of the Shuswap – North Okanagan on Saturday\, September 15th\, 2018 at 9 a.m. \n\nChallenge yourself\, ride with family & friends \, enjoy the view. Four routes highlight the scenic beauty of the Shuswap – North Okanagan. The Cyclists Celebration (live music\, draw prizes) is casual\, down to earth Shuswap hospitality. \nThe four bike routes are designed to be safe and fun. Whether you have never ridden a bike before\, or you are an endurance cyclist join in. Everyone is welcome! \nThis is not a racing event. The emphasis is on participation\, rather than time\, to make it fun for an individual or family. Enjoy the company of fellow cyclists. Ride with your friends and challenge yourself to ride a route distance you might not consider doing on your own. \nA limit of 600 cyclists has been set for the 100K\, 75K and 35K routes.
