DESCRIPTION:Unfortunately the weather has not cooperated. All the snow we received over the last 2 days will not make it feasible to layout a proper course for this weekends race. We have made the decision to cancel the race.  \nThe Bad:\nRather than re-schedule and risk a second snowfall we have made the extremely difficult call to cancel finals for this year. Overall series standings will be determined by those races that have already taken place. \n\nThe Good:\nAs a consolation\, there will be an alternative cyclocross themed ride and potluck this Sunday in Kelowna for all who are able to attend. They will also be doing a simple bell ceremony for those who placed in top 3 in overall standings. Check out the Interior Cyclocross FB page for more details.

Let’s raise awareness for Mental Illness\, promote Mental Health for all and end the stigma together. We need you Salmon Arm! \nOn Sunday June 21st\, be a part of the CMHA Shuswap / Revelstoke Ride Don’t Hide team and do something positive for Mental Health Awareness. Salmon Arm is hosting a 10km family cycle as well as a 32km more advanced cycle both starting and finishing at the Little Mountain Sports Complex – Field of Dreams\, 250 30th Street SE.\, Salmon Arm\, BC. Detailed information about this event and how to register can be found on the Ride Don’t Hide website http://ridedonthide.com/bc/ride/shuswap-revelstoke/ \nOn November 12\, 2011\, Michael Schratter\, a Vancouver teacher and 24 Hours newspaper social columnist\, who lives with bipolar disorder\, completed his solo global journey called Ride Don’t Hide. Michael cycled 40\,000 kilometers across 6 continents and 33 countries to raise awareness about Mental Illness and end the stigma surrounding it. Three years later Michael’s inspiration continues as the Canadian Mental Health Association hosts their annual cycle event in 4 provinces and 19 communities. \nThe event starts at the Field of Dreams with a fun warm-up and a light breakfast. There are various cycling routes: a 10km family-friendly route\, a 32km route\, or a 54km advanced route through the amazing country-side surrounding Gardom Lake. \nFollowing the ride cyclists will be entertained with music and speakers\, and enjoy refreshments. There will be prizes and community booths to create an atmosphere to support health\, wellness and the importance of community.
