Voly Day, BBQ, and Shuttles at Rubberhead

To celebrate our partnership agreement with Rec Sites and Trails BC, and in general a fantastic season at our favourite spot, the SCC is hosting a day at Rubberhead next Sunday, September 30.

We will start with a few hours of voly work from 10-12, followed by burgers and chili by donation, then some shuttle laps in the afternoon.

Meet at the Rubberhead parking lot on the FSR #110 at 9:30.

Looking forward to a great day on the trails!

Come to the Work Party Saturday to Finish Double D

Thanks to all the volunteers that have helped put Double D together, and for all the other recent work on Rubberhead!

Double D is nearly complete. Only a few meters are left untread, and there a couple of places to tidy up.

Meet this Saturday, June 17th, to finish it off! 9am at the Rubberhead Parking Lot. Bring your gloves, water, and a bit of food.

Double D is already running great, connecting from the lower Climb Trail to provide a fun alternative to pedaling the road. The climbs have some challenging technical sections, tight switch-backs, and also some lengthy traverses and quick downs so you don’t burn out. Earn your turns!

After Double D, do a quick bike push up part of Rubberhead Middle, then traverse over to the 110 via Upper Rubberhead. From there it is a zoom up the road to get to Ravine. Watch for logging activity, but the upside is the road is in great shape right […]
